Dear all,

First up...some general information:
Bengali New year's day is the first day of the Bengali calendar, celebrated in both Bangladesh and West Bengal, and in Bengali communities in Assam and Tripura. It coincides with the New Year's Days of numerous Southern Asian calendars as well and is a very rich culturally festive day.

...Ok...enough of general knowledge! The point is:

The Bengali New year has never been celebrated at the University of Minnesota and hence to make a mark on the stone wall of history the two titans - Bangladeshi Student Association (BDSA) and the Bengali Student Society of Minnesota (BSSM) brings you an event which was long awaited. So, at the Saint Paul Student Center, come celebrate the Bengali New Years Day with us as we present a night of cultural extravaganza engineered with Baishakhi Fair (cultural exhibit), mind blowing music performances and solos, extravagant cultural dance performances, heart-throbbing fashion show and many more... Attend to Discover!!

I guess I forgot to mention that the event is..... AbSoLuTeLy FREE!!

Oh yes...we will have traditional Bengali Food, Snacks and Refreshments- all these for a $0.00 value!!!So, it's .. FREE! FREE! FREE!
